This collection includes 814 5" x 5" color photographic prints, with an incomplete set of corresponding negatives. One hundred sixty-seven photographs were taken in 1987, 352 in 1991 and 295 in 1992. The photographs show various wide and narrow angle panoramas with background mountainous views; focusing on the entire 177 acres of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, its buildings and structures, landscaping and parking facilities. Also, a few photographs were taken of the surrounding area, such as the Pasadena Rose Bowl and the San Gabriel Mountains.

One of the first people hired at GALCIT Project #1 in November 1941 was photographer George Emmerson (1913-1994), an emigrant from Newcastle, Great Britain. Audrey Voice and Mary J.
